This book contain research interest in active experiential learning, brain training exercises and career development. Also, it provides an excellent reference material and application strategies for teachers and counsellors to apply the active experiential learning into a classroom and school learning environment. The Self Enhanced Active Learning framework presented in the book provide an avenue for teachers and counsellors towards translating abstract metacognitive concepts into active experiential teaching-learning exercises for students.
The SEAL model is based upon Anderson, Krathwohl et al’s revised Bloom’s Taxonomy of Learning Objectives with emphasis on the dual dimensional aspects of knowledge and cognitive processes in encouraging metacognitive objectives. Also, the model is strengthen with essentials of mind restructuring cognitive behaviour methodologies. In this context, the SEAL model takes into cognizance the school to career objectives and meeting the living environment challenges of the 21st. century consistent with the Malaysia Education Blueprint. |
